Compassion is the ability to empathize with others who are suffering or in need. It connects us deeply with others and allows us to offer support and comfort during difficult times. True compassion goes beyond humans – it includes all living beings and the natural world. Nature is the source of all life, made up of both living and non-living things such as birds, animals, plants, water and sunlight. Humans depend on nature for survival, and we must show care and love for it. Protecting nature safeguards biodiversity and also nurtures our well-being. When we care for nature, we are caring for ourselves recognizing the deep connection between all life forms. As responsible stewards of the Earth, we must protect it for future generations. As a wise personality once said, “Love and compassion are
 necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” The choice to protect or destroy the planet is ours.
