Pool C – Navya Shukla / Class 9
Shaping my future might seem like something far away, but for a class 9 student, the journey starts right now in our classrooms and daily habits. To build the life I want, I am focusing on three big ideas: clarity, discipline and focus.
Clarity will pave the path for my destination. Instead of the usual schoolwork, I want to explore my interests, whether in science, finance, fast-evolving artificial intelligence, or the humanities. Having a clear goal helps me stay focused when repetition and boredom lurk.
Discipline is perhaps the most arduous art to master. Bruce Lee, the Karate Legend, once said, ‘I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times.’ Discipline is all about choosing the priority over the mundane. I have realised that talent only gets us so far; It is the daily ‘showing up’ that actually builds a future. Small habits today create big results tomorrow.
Finally, ‘Purpose’ is my ‘why.’ I do not just want to get good grades; I want to use what I learn to help others or solve problems. When I have a reason for my assiduousness, even the toughest exams feel like a step toward something meaningful.
By staying clear, staying disciplined, and finding my purpose, I am not just waiting for the future, I’m building it!
